Belarus and China have signed an intergovernmental agreement on the visa-free regime for the holders of ordinary passports. The state news agency BELTA reports the document was approved during the talks between Belarus President Aliaksandr Lukashenka and Chinese President Xi Jinping. The agreement was signed on behalf of Belarus by Foreign Minister Uladzimir Makei.

The countries have also signed the documents on cooperation in other fields, including a framework agreement on issuing a loan to Belarus for a high-technology project in the agricultural sector.
